Data Exporter & Data Exporter API (Beta) - New Field & Objects Yes Objects are being added to Data Exporter and Data Exporter API (Beta) with the March 19 Patch and the April '21 Release.
Data Exporter - Add Zulu Offset to DateTime Fields in the CSV Export Yes With the April 2021 release, Cornerstone is adding the Zulu offset to DateTime fields in the CSV export from the Data Exporter to ensure that there is parity between the CSV and JSON outputs.
Data Exporter - Deprecation of XML Manifest for Core and Non-Core Objects Yes The XML manifest will continue to be provided alongside the JSON manifest until the April '21 release, at which point the XML manifest will be deprecated and no longer provided for both core and non-core objects. We advise against using the XML manifest in new development work, and suggest you modify applications that currently use the XML manifest as soon as possible. The JSON manifest will continue to be delivered for both core and non-core objects and is the preferred choice.
Data Exporter - Reclassify Custom Fields of Type "DateTime" to "LocalDateTime" Yes With the April 2021 release, Cornerstone is reclassifying custom fields of type "DateTime" to "LocalDateTime" within the Data Exporter. This reclassification will fix the incongruity by presenting the date-time without the Zulu offset.
Deprecation of Custom Reports in 2022 Yes Cornerstone will deprecate the legacy reporting solution "Custom Reports" in 2022. With Reporting 2.0, users can execute the same business reporting operations as they've done in Custom Reports in addition to Reporting 2.0's rich suite of new features and functionality. For users that have already migrated themselves and/or who no longer need the custom reports, there will be an option to opt-out of being migrated.
Deprecation of Learning Loads for Data Load Wizard (DLW) with the February '22 Release Yes Ability to perform learning data loads using Data Load Wizard will be deprecated with an end-of-life in the February ‘22 Release. End-of-support will occur in 2021 and support for defects related to the DLW learning loads will stop at this time, exact date to be determined. DLW is a legacy data load tool which was built on older technology, is accessed using an older user interface UI, and experiences slow performance and limited load type support.
Edge Import - Capabilities Load Yes, if Edge Import is enabled With the April '21 Release, two new load types are available in Edge Import to assist customers in loading their Capabilities Library.
Edge Import - Employee/OU Loads and Feed for HR (Early Adopter) Yes, if Edge Import is enabled With this release, Cornerstone is extending the Edge Import support for employee and OU data loads and feeds to Cornerstone HR customers.
Edge Import - Learning Load Enhancement (ILT Sessions Loads) Yes With this enhancement, a new configuration option is added to ILT Session Loads to allow for the uploading of past dated sessions in either a “Completed” or “Approved” status, with “Completed” being the default.
Edge Import - Learning Load Enhancement (ILT Transcript Loads) Yes With this enhancement, only the session in the learner’s transcript will be imported as "Cancelled," and the status for the entire session is not impacted.
Edge Import - Learning Load Enhancement (Online Course Loads) Yes With this enhancement, changes have been made to the Online Course load in Edge Import to support the new Online Course Content Load.
Edge Import - Learning Load Enhancement (Transcript Loads) Yes With this enhancement, the Transcript load is enhanced to improve the usability of the data load.
Edge Import - Online Course Assets Loads Yes, if Edge Import is enabled With this enhancement, a new load type is now available for Edge Import, which can be used to upload and publish content files, including metadata. Organizations can use the new Online Course Assets load to import and publish multiple courses in their portal without needing to initiate a custom project or requiring Cornerstone resources.
End of Support for IE11 and Edge Legacy with the July '21 Release Yes Cornerstone is retiring support for Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft Edge Legacy.
jQuery Library Update to Version 3.6 Yes

Cornerstone is updating their jQuery Library to version 3.6.

Any pages that contain custom JavaScript should be reviewed and tested to ensure compatibility with jQuery v 3.6.

Reporting 2.0 - Backend Performance Optimization Yes Cornerstone is dedicated reporting infrastructure team is focused on optimizing the performance of Reporting 2.0. Through the April 2021 release, and continuing in patches thereafter, we will continue to stabilize the experience with the goal of reducing page load times and improving the report download experience.
Reporting 2.0 - Custom Reports Usage Report Yes

With this enhancement, a Custom Reports Usage Report is added to the Import Your Custom Reports flyout in Reporting 2.0. The report is only available to administrators and provides an export of custom report usage data in the portal that has been added to the Reporting 2.0 migration tool.

Note: This functionality will be available on 13 April 2021.

Reporting Fields - Skills Profile Yes, if Reporting 2.0 is enabled A new Capabilities section is now available in Reporting 2.0, which includes new and existing fields.
RTDW Updates to Reporting API, RDW, and Data Exporter Yes Impacting only organizations using Reporting API, Replicated Data Warehouse (RDW), and Data Exporter, the Real-Time Data Warehouse (RTDW) categories may be impacted, deprecated, or break applications, scripts, or functionalities that are based on earlier versions of RTDW objects.
Skills Profile and Capabilities Library (Early Adopter) Yes

With the Capabilities Library and Skills Profile:

  • Cornerstone's AI-powered Skills Graph automatically imports skills into the Capabilities Library. (Administrators can screen skills before they are published for employees to see.)
  • Cornerstone's AI-powered Skills Graph automatically associates relevant skills to each employee job title using data collected from over 250 million profiles worldwide, across all industries and organization sizes.
  • Employees can declare which skills they currently have, which skills they want to further develop, and which ones they do not currently want to develop. (Employees are given a jump start with automatically suggested skills they can declare and the ability to view full skill descriptions.)
  • Employees can also self-rate their proficiency, interest, and enjoyment for specific skills, and receive skill proficiency ratings from their peers.
  • Organizations can continue to use their internally defined skills in addition to the skills from Cornerstone's Skills Graph.
  • Organizations should experience a faster implementation time to get their capabilities library up and running.
Viewing Reporting API Documentation Yes With this patch, customers who view API documentation through their portal will have the same visibility as customers who do so through the public API explorer.

Learning Features

Ability to Submit Session Roster Before End Time Yes With this enhancement, anew preference is added to the Corporate Settings section in ILT Preferencesto enable administrators to submit the roster prior to the end of the session once the last session part has started. This allows for more flexibility in managing the roster. In addition, this gives students time to complete post-work prior to leaving the classroom for sessions that end before the scheduled end time.
Ability to Update Score After Submitting Roster Yes With this enhancement, the score can now be updated without needing to revert the completion. Users with the Roster - Manage permission will now be able to edit the field in the Score column on the Attendance and Scoring tab of the roster for users who are in a Completed status without reverting the completion.
Browse for Training - Deprecation Postponed N/A Recognizing that there are still feature areas that need to be addressed in Learning Search prior to deprecating Browse for Training, Cornerstone has decided to postpone the deprecation indefinitely. Once a new date is determined, customers will have 3 release cycles to manage the change. Learning Search is the recommended search experience. If not already using it, we encourage customers to begin directing learners to Learning Search, where Cornerstone will continue to invest in expanding its capabilities.
Change Event Provider Yes With this enhancement, new preferences are added to the Corporate Settings section in ILT Preferences to enable administrators to change the event's primary and secondary provider, as well as to enable the provider to be defined when creating sessions. Both traditional classroom and vILT events and sessions are supported with this enhancement.
Curriculum Versioning Backend Optimizations Yes Cornerstone will make backend optimizations to improve stability and reliability of curriculum child training versioning.
Deprecation of Learning Loads for Data Load Wizard (DLW) with the February '22 Release Yes Ability to perform learning data loads using Data Load Wizard will be deprecated with an end-of-life in the February ‘22 Release. Enhancement to Prerequisite Exceptions Pop-Up Yes With this enhancement, the pop-up that appears when a learner requests a session or curriculum without first satisfying any session or curriculum prerequisites has been updated. Instead of a single Continue button that guides learners to submit an exception request, the pop-up now includes updated messaging and prompts to see prerequisites or submit an exception request (if exception requests are allowed for sessions).
Extended Enterprise - Adjust Inventory Yes for all portals using Extended Enterprise and the Learning module With this enhancement, administrators can adjust their pre-purchased inventory values to reduce the number or training items or instructor-led training (ILT) session seats purchased. Additionally, administrators can now view all inventory purchases for their organization.
Learning Details - Session Flyout Enhancements Yes

The following Learning Details enhancements are available with this release:

  • Resources - Administrators can now add resources to instructor-led training (ILT) sessions via the Details step of the session creation process.

  • Withdraw Penalties - Administrators can now configure withdrawal penalties for instructor-led training (ILT) sessions via the Details step of the session creation process.

Microsoft Teams Integration Enable in Edge Marketplace once the integration is available

The "Learning in the Flow of Work" integration brings the Cornerstone Learning catalog directly to learners in their key productivity application. With this enhancement, Microsoft Teams users can add a chatbot to Teams that lets them search for and share training, all linked to the Cornerstone portal. Learners can also receive notifications about training with upcoming due dates.

Note: The Microsoft Teams integration is not yet available, and the availability date is yet to be determined.

Mobile-Friendly Tests and Evaluations Yes to all organizations using the Test Engine and Evaluations. With this enhancement, taking a test or answering questions in an evaluation is now mobile-friendly making it easier to view and take action using your phone or other mobile device.
Prevent Approval on Session Requests After Registration Deadline Yes

With this enhancement, when acting on a session approval request through My Team or via the Pending Requests Standard Report, approvers are prevented from approving or deferring a session request when the session registration deadline has passed. When an attempt is made to approve or defer a session after the registration deadline, upon clicking Submit, a message is visible to approvers to make it clear that the request cannot be approved because the registration deadline has passed.

The learner will not be moved to an Approved status for the session and will not mistakenly think they have a session seat reserved for them because they see an Approved status in their transcript or receive an email indicating their request is approved.

rapidRoster Integration Available in Edge Marketplace

With the new rapidRoster Integration, customers can automate roster and attendance management by leveraging company badges, barcodes, or mobile devices for classroom registration, attendance, and completion.

Note: This integration is not yet available, and the availability date is yet to be determined.

Reporting Fields - Learning Yes

With this enhancement, report search behavior is changed for Custom Reports, so that when a report filtered by Training Title is run, the results include titles from all available languages as long as they match the filter search criteria. This enhancement can also improve the stability and performance of Custom Reports during peak performance hours.

Turn Off Exception Requests for Session Prerequisites Yes With this enhancement, an option is added to ILT Preferences, the Events > Session Defaults tab, and the Sessions > Session Details tab to give administrators the flexibility to disable users' ability to generate exception requests when they request a session for which they have not yet satisfied a required prerequisite.

Total Compensation - Employee Compensation - Auditing for Modification History

Yes, for customers that are migrated to Total Compensation – Employee Compensation.

With this enhancement, organizations can use the Employee Salary Modification History page to view and audit all changes made on the Employee Compensation page, including changes to salary, who made the change, and when the change occurred. Additionally, administrators can filter history information by Compensation Type.
Reporting Fields – Total Compensation (Employee Compensation)

Yes, for customers that are migrated to Total Compensation – Employee Compensation.

With this enhancement, the following new Total Compensation - Employee Compensation fields are added to Reporting 2.0:

  • Record Amount – The amount on the Employee Compensation Record.
  • Annualized Record Amount – Allows all Employee Compensation Records, regardless of the frequency defined in their wage type, to be normalized to an annual amount so they can be compared against each other. This figure is the Annual Equivalency amount multiplied by the Record Amount.
  • Compensation Type – The type of compensation. Options are Salary/Rate or Custom.

Note: This functionality is available on 13 April 2021.

Recruiting Features

Broadbean Integration Job Posting Integration - Job Description Mapping Enhancement Available in Edge Marketplace

With this enhancement, customers can now determine whether they would prefer to send the Job Description field or the job ad in Cornerstone to map to the Detailed Job Description field in Broadbean.

To enable this feature, toggle on the existing Candidate Profile field on the Broadbean Job Posting integration Settings page in Edge.

This feature was released as part of the 19 March 2021 patch.

Candidate Accessibility Enhancements Yes With this enhancement, features are added to the candidate experience to ensure that candidates using a screen reader are given the proper information to maintain context and understand system behaviors.
Deprecation of Manage Applicants in a Future Release/Redirect to Manage Candidates with the April '21 Release Yes

With the April '21 release, when the Applicants count is selected from the Manage Requisitions page in Production and Pilot portals, users will be redirected to a filtered view of Manage Candidates instead of Manage Applicants. Support for defects related to Manage Applicants will also stop at this time.

The deprecation was first announced in the May '20 release.

End of Support for Hiring Manager Shortlist Yes

With the April ’21 Release, Cornerstone will end support of Hiring Manager Shortlist and support of defects will stop at this time. A deprecation date has not yet been set. Customers that utilize the Hiring Manager Shortlist are encouraged to begin using Request Candidate Feedback to share candidates with hiring managers and other business stakeholders and collect feedback.

Iventa Job Post Integration Available in Edge Marketplace

With "STELLA," the Iventa Job Post integration, you can book and manage job ads and recruitment marketing directly from Cornerstone and thus generate applicants. The integration is a simple and efficient way to post job advertisements directly from your Cornerstone Recruiting platform to all media channels, from online and social media to job search engines, communities, and Google.

The integration is available in Edge Marketplace on 3 May 2021.

Manage Candidates - Permissions Enhancement Yes With this enhancement, Manage Candidates is enhanced to respect the permissions that are currently available on Manage Applicants. Enhancing permissions helps ensure that customers will have a smooth transition to Manage Candidates without concerns about security and access.
My Account - Remove "LinkedIn" from UI Yes

With this enhancement, LinkedIn will be removed from the Social tab on the My Account page. Removal will eliminate defects that have arisen as a result of keeping it on the page.

In addition, the LinkedIn checkbox in the Social section on My Account Preferences will also be removed.

Outmatch Video Interview Integration Available in Edge Marketplace

The Outmatch Video Interview integration transforms your recruiting process with a video interview platform designed to boost efficiency in the hiring process and create engaging candidate experiences.

Outmatch lets recruiters create engaging recruitment experiences, while still managing, inviting, and reviewing candidates through the Cornerstone platform. Candidates complete the video interview via the Outmatch platform, where they can also experience your brand through engaging media and video content.

This feature was released as part of the 5 March 2021 patch.

Recruiting GDPR Enhancements Yes

The following enhancements are made:

  • Former employees who apply to a new job before their employee record is deleted, will also become eligible for data deletion.
  • Anonymize subsequent "optional" resumes with New Submissions anonymization enabled.
Rename "CareerBuilder" to "AccurateAce" Available in Edge Marketplace

With this enhancement, the following name changes are made to CareerBuilder:

  • The provider name CareerBuilder Employment Screening is renamed Accurate
  • The integration name CareerBuilder Background Check is renamed AccurateAce Background Check
