Data Exporter - Deprecation of XML Manifest for Core and Non-Core Objects with the April '21 Release | Yes | When a data export is delivered, it contains a manifest which explains the contents of the export. Currently the manifest for core and non-core objects is delivered in both JSON and XML. The XML manifest will continue to be provided alongside the JSON manifest until the April '21 release, at which point the XML manifest will be deprecated and no longer provided for both core and non-core objects. We advise against using the XML manifest in new development work, and suggest you modify applications that currently use the XML manifest as soon as possible. The JSON manifest will continue to be delivered for both core and non-core objects and is the preferred choice. |
Deprecation of Custom Reports with the July '21 Release | Yes |
Cornerstone will be deprecating the legacy reporting solution "Custom Reports" with the July ’21 Release. With Reporting 2.0, users can execute the same business reporting operations as they've done in Custom Reports in addition to Reporting 2.0's rich suite of new features and functionality. This deprecation was first announced as part of the May '20 release. |
Deprecation of Learning Loads for Data Load Wizard (DLW) with the October '21 Release | Yes | Ability to perform learning data loads using Data Load Wizard will be deprecated with and end-of-life in the October '21 Release. End-of-support will occur in 2021, and support for defects related to the DLW learning loads will stop at this time. DLW is a legacy data load tool which was built on older technology, is accessed using an older user interface (UI), and experiences slow performance and limited load type support. |
Edge Import - Curriculum and Test Loads Enhancement | Yes |
With this enhancement, the Curriculum and Test loads for Edge Import now support recurrence. A new Recurrence field is now available for these loads, and this field is optional. This field enables organizations to set the recurrence settings for curricula and tests. This functionality was released with the 11 September 2020 patch. |
Edge Import - Learning Load Enhancements | Yes |
As of the 11 September 2020 patch, the following is no longer an acceptable value for the Recurrence field in for Edge Import Learning Loads because it is not a valid standalone recurrence setting:
In addition, many other enhancements are available with the October '20 release, including UAT. These enhancements impact Learning Object loads and Transcript loads. |

Edge Marketplace Informational Tile | N/A | Edge Marketplace now supports informational tiles, which provide info about an integration built by a Cornerstone partner but cannot be installed by the client. Informational tiles allow clients to learn more about the integration as well as enable clients to express interest to a partner about the integration. Installation and enablement of the integration will be handled directly by the partner who built the integration. Upon opening the informational tile, the client will see a Global Customer Support team. | button in the upper-right corner. After filling out the form, the information will be sent to the partner contact, who will be responsible for following up with the client. Support is the responsibility of the partner and will not be handled through the

Removal of the "API Events" Tab from the Manage OAuth 2.0 Application Page | Yes | With this deprecation, Cornerstone is removing the "API Events" tab due to low usage. Plans to re-imagine the feature to provide data that gives clients useful insights into their API usage are being considered. |

Skills Profile & Capabilities Library (Open Beta) | Open Beta is available to all organizations in stage and pilot environments with the October '20 Release on October 30. |
This functionality is available in Stage and Pilot portals with the October '20 Release. Prior to skills profiles, many organizations faced challenges in setting up, maintaining, and scaling organizational competencies, investing hundreds of hours defining the relevant skills for each job in their organization while employees had to manually add skills to their Universal Profile. Getting employees to fill out their Universal Profile with skills and competencies was often a struggle. Gathering feedback on skills was laborious and administrator-driven. There was a need for an accurate way to identify the talent landscape. With the Capabilities Library and Skills Profiles:

Applicant Profile Performance Enhancement | Yes |
Prior to this enhancement, a user may have experienced a long load time when accessing the Applicant Profile Summary tab for a candidate in a child requisition whose parent requisition had a large number of candidates. This delay was the result of an extra check that was done to determine whether to display the Parent Requisition on the Summary tab. This check was done so the title of the parent requisition would only display if the user had access to the parent requisition. As this data is not sensitive, Cornerstone has removed the access check so that the parent requisition title is displayed in all cases, which should improve the performance of the page. The parent requisition is not a clickable link so the existing functionality to prevent users without access from seeing the parent requisition will still be in place. |
Back-End Optimizations to Recruiting Searches | Yes |
Beginning in September 2020, Cornerstone will begin back-end optimizations to improve recruiting searches. No changes to job search features should be observed by administrators or end-users. Search querying should match the existing experience. Searches will yield the same results; however, the order in which results are displayed may change due to improved relevance scoring. |
Candidate API (Early Adopter) | Yes |
Cornerstone's new Candidate APIs provide the ability to get a requisition's full application workflow, including prescreening and compliance questions, disclaimers, notes, and attachments, and then create an application and candidate in your Cornerstone portal. Applications can be posted in a complete or incomplete status. If incomplete, recruiters can invite candidates to finish their application within Cornerstones. As part of this Early Adopter release, Cornerstone is introducing two new endpoints:
This enhancement is available in a post-release patch. |
Deprecation of Hiring Manager Shortlist with the April '21 Release | Yes |
With the April ’21 Release, the Hiring Manager Shortlist will be deprecated in all portals. Hiring Manager Shortlist is an opt-in/by request-only feature that automatically shares candidates with hiring managers when the candidate enters the "In Review" status. |
Deprecation of Manage Applicants with the April '21 Release | Yes | As first announced in the May '20 release, when the Applicants count is selected in Stage environments from Manage Requisitions, users are redirected to a filtered view of the Manage Candidates page specific to the relevant requisition instead of Manage Applicants. |
Internal Career Site (Early Adopter) - Email Referrals | Yes (Internal Career Site must be self-enabled in Feature Activation Preferences) |
With this enhancement, jobs can now be referred and tracked on the internal career site. |
New Email Tag for "Interview Scheduling Notification - Applicant" Email | Yes |
With this enhancement, a new APPLICANT.SCHEDULE.SUMMARY.NO.JOB.TITLE email tag is added to the Interview Scheduling Notification - Applicant email. When included in the email, the message does not display the job title of any of the interviewers but still includes the interview details. This allows recruiters to provide their applicants all the necessary information about the interview without displaying sensitive data about the interviewers. This feature was previously released in the 11 September 2020 patch. |
Request Candidate Feedback - Candidate Review Cohort UI Enhancement | Yes | With this enhancement, the user interface (UI) for the candidate review cohort page is updated to match the color scheme and features of the applicant carousel, which was updated as part of the August '20 release. |
