The following new features and enhancements are available for the May '19 release:
Core Features
Cornerstone HR Features
Feature Name | Automatically Enabled? | Description |
---|---|---|
Employee Record Change Outbound Feed | Installed from Edge Marketplace |
This enhancement is not available during User Acceptance Testing (UAT). A new Employee Record Change Outbound Feed is available in the Edge Marketplace. Employee record outbound feeds are now automated, so that once this feed is enabled, administrators can schedule a daily outbound feed of all changes made to the employee master data in the last 24 hours when Cornerstone is the system of record. |
Forms User Type and Employment Status Fields | Yes | With this enhancement, when creating or copying a form, Active Status is added to the User Standard Fields section, and this includes the Active Status and Active Period options. There is also a new User Type and Employment Status section. Using these fields in forms allows organizations to initiate and complete processes such as terminations without needing to extend user record access to users in non-administrative roles in their organization. Because User Type and Employment Status fields are related, the form build page adds these fields to the form collectively; individual fields cannot be selectively added to the form. However, fields are visible in the form depending upon the value selected in User Type or Employment Status. |

With this enhancement, a new feature called Edge Answers is available through the Edge platform. With this enhancement, organizations can now find standard, generally available integrations created by external vendors in a new "Vendor Built" category in the Edge Marketplace. | |
Virtual Instructor-Led Training (vILT) Connector (Early Adopter) |
With this enhancement, a Virtual Instructor-Led Training (vILT) connector is available, allowing organizations and partners using Cornerstone to build integrations with the virtual meeting provider of their choosing. This connector allows seamless integration with Cornerstone Learning portals, connects end users to virtual meeting sessions, allows attendance tracking, and provides scheduling tools for instructors. This connector will not be available at the start of UAT. It is targeted to be available in Stage with the April 25 deployment. |

Clients configure endpoints and credentials for the job distribution provider in Edge, including which fields to send to the job distribution vendor from a list of available standard fields. Job posting data exchanged using this connector is displayed on the Job Posting page in Recruiting. |
Mobile-Friendly Candidate Experience - Additional Attachments in Resume Section | Yes, with Mobile-Friendly Candidate Experience |
With this enhancement, an "Additional Attachments" section appears on the application by default for career sites configured via the Mobile-Friendly Candidate Experience that include an Upload Attachment action item in the workflow. This section can be removed by the administrator when configuring the Upload Attachments section in the application workflow template and can also be made required. |
Mobile-Friendly Candidate Experience - Branched Prescreening Questions | Yes, with Mobile-Friendly Candidate Experience |
The Branched Prescreening Questions enhancement was released to Production portals as part of the 22 March 2019 Patch Release. With this enhancement, you can create branched prescreening questions for application workflows. Branched prescreening questions enables you to show or hide follow-up questions based on a candidate’s answer to the previous question. For example, if a candidate answers “Have you worked at this organization before?” with “Yes,” then you can ask them follow-up questions such as “In what department?”, “What dates were you at the company?”, and more. |
Mobile-Friendly Candidate Experience - Deprecate Standard Experience | This announcement identifies impacts to Standard career sites and application workflows for new Recruiting clients following the May '19 release, as well as impacts to Standard career sites and application workflows for existing Recruiting clients. | |
Mobile-Friendly Candidate Experience - Link to Preset Career Site Searches | Yes, with Mobile-Friendly Candidate Experience | With this enhancement, recruiters can send candidates the URL to the search results that are generated on the career site based on a specific keyword, and/or location, and/or standard field filter. When candidates access the link, the list of jobs appears on the job search page, including any keywords and filters such as city, country, etc. |
Mobile-Friendly Candidate Experience - Required Resume Fields on Mobile-Friendly Application Workflow | Yes, with Mobile-Friendly Candidate Experience | With this enhancement, administrators can set the minimum number of entries that must be filled out in each section of the resume. Candidates will not be able to submit their application without meeting the minimum number of entries. |
One-Click Apply with Stepstone (Early Adopter) | Enable via Edge |
The One-Click Apply with Stepstone (Early Adopter) enhancement was released as part of the 22 February 2019 Patch Release. One-Click Apply with Stepstone delivers a seamless candidate experience with the ability to send job board application data to Cornerstone, enabling candidates to directly apply to requisitions using their information from job boards. |
Reporting - Recruiting Fields | Yes, after enabling Reporting 2.0 | With this enhancement, an Applicant Type at Submission field is added to Reporting 2.0. This field displays the applicant type at the time the applicant applied to the job. |
Validity Periods for Background Check Integrations | Enable via Edge |
With this enhancement, validity periods can be configured for background check connector integrations. This enhancement saves time and money with the ability to set a specified period of time for which background checks are valid. This means that candidates applying to multiple jobs only need to complete screenings initially and upon expiration. |
