Accessing Versioned Training in Certifications
Prior to this enhancement, when a training within a certification was versioned, some learners could not see and interact with the training. Therefore, the administrators either enabled Override LO Availability on the certification as a workaround or asked learners to search for the training outside the certification.
With this enhancement, the learners can see and interact with the versioned training directly from the certification, even if the Override LO Availability is not enabled. The administrators no longer must enable override availability as a workaround or ask learners to search for the training outside the certification.

How Does this Enhancement Benefit My Organization?
- It improves usability by allowing learners to interact directly with the versioned training inside the certification.
- Administrators can configure a certification to leverage the training’s availability set in the course catalog.
Use Case - Accessing versioned training in Certifications
Ava Employee is enrolled in the Annual Compliance 2024 certification that contains these two materials. Override LO Availability is not enabled on the certification. The material Code of Ethics was versioned from version 1 (V1) to version 2 (V2), and Ava was excluded from the versioning.
Before this enhancement
After versioning it, Ava did not see the Code of Ethics 2024 material when accessing her certification.
After the enhancement
After versioning, Ava can see the Code of Ethics 2024 material when accessing the certification and take action.
Implementation
This functionality is automatically enabled for all organizations using the Learning module.
Permissions
The following existing permissions apply to this functionality:
