Password Preferences
Password Preferences provide clients the ability to select various combinations of settings to determine the desired password login experience. These requirements can vary by organizational unit.
The password preferences allow the administrator to specify the settings for users to change their own password, or for the system to generate an anonymous password, set the specific password requirements and allowing users to reset password by answering security questions.

- Click Forget Password? link on the login page.
- Enter User ID or username and click .
- The user may be required to answer security questions, depending upon the Password Preferences for the user's organizational unit (OU). If a user enters the wrong password five times, the user is locked out of the system for 1 hour. If a user attempts to log in to the system while they are locked out, a lockout message is displayed even if a correct password is entered.
- User receives the User Password Change email, if enabled in Email Management.
