Compensation Features

With this enhancement, a REST API framework which enables organizations to create, update, and receive user data in real time is available. Using the Employee API, administrators have access to the following features:

  • Perform POST/PUT/PATCH/GET actions

  • Add new fields to the existing API contract
End of IE10 Support in May '18 Release N/A In order to keep up with browser security requirements and the latest software enhancements, Cornerstone will be discontinuing support for Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) 10 with the May 2018 release. Please reach out to your IT department and make plans to convert to one of the compatible browsers prior to the release.
Historical Upload Tool (HUT) Retirement in May '18 Release N/A With the May '18 Release, clients will no longer have access to the Historical Upload Tool (HUT). Defect fixes will no longer be supported following the February '18 Release.
Inline Help Video Updates N/A As of January 30, 2018, split screen inline help videos will no longer be available as part of the Cornerstone solution. While the content will still be available in the Success Center, the question mark on the right that indicates the availability of an inline help video will no longer be visible. Clients that are interested in this functionality can still partner with AppLearn for their own use. The inline “show me” and smart tip "?" icons will continue to be available.
Org Chart - Export to PDF Yes

This enhancement was released as part of the 15 December 2017 patch release.

With this enhancement, data on the People tab of the Org Chart page can now be exported to PDF. An Export Org Chart option has been added to the Options drop-down on the Org Chart page to allow users to export the chart data, user images, and organizational layout.

reCaptcha Upgrade to v2.0

Not available until the February 23 patch.

With this enhancement, reCaptcha is upgraded to the latest version in portals where reCaptcha is enabled.

Ultimate UltiPro Core Data Sync Integration Available from Edge Marketplace For organizations using Ultimate UltiPro as their system of record for Human Resources data, the Core Data Integration is a solution that allows management of employee and organizational unit (OU) data in Cornerstone when there are changes to employee and OU records in UltiPro. This integration, which previously existed outside of Edge, will now be hosted in Edge for a simple enablement experience that organizations can configure and manage. This integration is API based and no longer require flat files.
Universal Profile Resume Entry Multi-Select Yes. However, this functionality is disabled for all resume sections by default. With this enhancement, when defining a resume section, administrators can now configure certain resume sections to allow users to select and configure multiple attributes at one time. Administrators can also define the maximum number of attributes that can be selected for a section. In addition, when selecting attributes, users can easily identify attributes that are already on their resume.
User Record - Expand/Collapse User Record Sections Yes With this enhancement, administrators can use a single option to expand or collapse all user record sections. The option to "Expand all sections" or "Collapse all sections" is added to the Options drop-down as a simpler way to locate fields in the user record. This enhancement is especially helpful for organizations that have large numbers of user record custom fields distributed across many categories.

Cornerstone HR

With this enhancement, system administrators and managers can make effective dated changes via self-service forms. This provides a self-service solution for administrators and managers to make effective dated changes to employee information without requiring access to the User Record.
Headcount Trend Report

Yes

Not available in Stage portals at the start of User Acceptance Testing (UAT). It will be available in Stage portals at a later date during UAT.

Available in Pilot and Production portals in the first half of 2018.

The Headcount Trend Report is an interactive month-end headcount report for portals with Cornerstone HR enabled. The report allows organizations to explore the historical headcount, viewable by different organizational units (OU).

Prior to this enhancement, there was no historical headcount report, which meant that organizations did not have a way to aggregate headcount using effective dated user data. The Headcount Trend Report empowers senior managers, executives, and human resources professionals to explore their organization's historical headcount to spot trends.

User Attachments on Forms Yes With this enhancement, forms users may be able to attach documents to a form when completing the form. This enables organizations to utilize forms to collect work-related documentation.

ADP Workforce Now (WFN) New Hire Integration - Migration to Edge Available from Edge Marketplace

With this enhancement, the existing Workforce Now (WFN) New Hire Integration is now available as an Edge integration and will no longer require a work order to enable.

In addition, the WFN New Hire Integration is enhanced to support Onboarding workflows so that when you start onboarding for a hired candidate, the candidate will be added as a user to your WFN application.

ADP Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) Integration Available from Edge Marketplace

Availability Note: This functionality will be available during Week 2 of user acceptance testing (UAT).

The ADP Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) Integration provides an additional integration option for assigning WOTC surveys. This integration enables organizations to identify applicants that may qualify for WOTC program tax credits by assigning ADP's WOTC surveys from within Recruiting.

REST Services - Format Parameter Deprecation  

With the February ‘18 Release, the ability to specify the format parameter in the query string will be deprecated. Please be sure to update web service requests to use the Content-Type parameter in the HTTP header before the February ‘18 Release to maintain uninterrupted service.

With this enhancement, new elective features for Learning, Connect, and Extended Enterprise can be activated using a single self-service content activation page, allowing organizations to choose exactly when they would like to adopt new features, without assistance from Cornerstone.
Insights Main Dashboard Redesign Yes This enhancement makes the user interface/user experience of the Insights landing page more intuitive and organized for the user. Navigation is improved and the themes of each insight are clearer.
Learner Home and Learning Search Enhancements Yes

With this enhancement, predictive search functionality is available to use when searching for training on Learner Home and Learning Search, and only subjects with related available training results display to users in the Your Subjects flyout. In addition, the following three new training carousels are available for use on the Learner Home page:

Learning Playlists (Early Adopter) No

With the February '18 release, Learning Playlists are available as an Early Adopter program. Playlists provide an easy-to-use learning curation experience in which users can create playlists of training to be discovered and consumed by others seeking to learn about a specific topic, skill, or profession.

Learning Playlists will be fully released during a post-release patch, at which time complete documentation will be made available for the functionality.

Custom Reports - Learning Fields Yes With this enhancement, the data stored for Transcript Roll-backs is mapped to reporting fields and values, making it easy for administrators and managers to report on the versions and registrations of training items on users’ transcripts. In addition, numerous fields have been added to Learning reporting functionality.
On the Job Training (OJT) Enhancements Yes

With this enhancement, the following On the Job Training (OJT) features are now available:

  • Observers can select and deselect users to be included in a batch observation
  • Inactive users can be omitted from the On the Job Training page search results
  • Users can be selected by organizational unit (OU) on the On the Job Training page
  • Observers can upload a list of users for an observation record
  • Users can notify their managers they are ready for OJT observation
Online Course Versioning - Assignment and Version History in Transcript Details Yes

With this release and previous patches, the following features are available with online course versioning functionality:

  • Administrators can access online course versions with future effective dates in the Course Catalog
  • Assignment and version history information is available from the Training Details page
  • Administrators can view online course version information from the Version section of the Course Console
  • The Content Uploader can be added as a link to system navigation tabs
Reporting 2.0 for Learning (Early Adopter) Self-Enabled

Reporting 2.0 is the new reporting tool for standard and custom reports. The new tool is intended to provide you with a simplistic and intuitive way to build and use reports. This is a powerful new engine that delivers a single application for creating reports.

You will continue to have full access to standard and custom reports following self-enablement of this functionality in your portal.

Transcript Status Report Enhancements Yes

With this enhancement, the Training Version field is added to the Transcript Status standard report. In addition, an output limit warning will now display when exporting to Excel if the number of records exceeds the allowable maximum.

Availability Note: This functionality will be available on 9 March 2018 as part of the patch release for that date.

Mobile Features

Planning Features

Chart View of Plan Yes With this enhancement, plans will now also appear as a real-time chart. Prior to this enhancement, only a grid view of the plan was available. Now, planners will get an additional chart view of their plans, which makes it easy to quickly spot patterns, trends, or other anomalies.
Plan Update Yes

Planners can now reconcile a previous plan with real-world changes to the organization, allowing for seamless planning over multiple cycles. New plans assumed that the organization at that moment would be the same into the future until planners made changes to those future periods.

Prior to this enhancement, each plan was a fresh start that did not take advantage of any previous planning efforts. Now, you can use previous plans for future planning efforts. Assuming the time periods overlap, previous plans could be applied to new plans, with those new plans reflecting real-world changes to the organization since the previous plan.

Recruiting and Onboarding Features

Background Image on Career Site Login/Create Profile Pages Yes

With this enhancement, standard and mobile-friendly career sites can include a background image that will display on the login page and the Create a Profile page. This helps to further brand the career site for the organization.

This enhancement is part of the mobile-friendly enhancements for the February '18 release.

Career Site Specific Job Alerts Yes

With this enhancement, job alerts will be specific to the career site from which the applicant created the job alert.

Prior to this enhancement, when an applicant signed up for job alerts, they received alerts from all the career sites from the organization.

Cloned Application Workflow Enhancement Yes

With this enhancement, you can now delete application workflow action items on the Internal Applicant tab when cloning the External Applicant tab. This applies to requisition templates, the default requisition template, and job requisitions.

Prior to this enhancement, you could not delete any items of the application workflow when the Clone External Applicant Workflow box was checked on the Internal Applicant tab.

Custom Reports - Recruiting Fields Yes With this enhancement, new fields are added and modified for Recruiting Custom Reports and Multi-Module Reports.
Editing Applicant Sources Yes

With this enhancement, recruiters can now specify the source of manually added applicants when adding applicants on the Snapshot page for the requisition. Recruiters can also now change the source of existing applicants on the Applicant Profile page.

Mobile-Friendly Application Workflows(Early Adopter) Self-Enabled

The mobile-friendly candidate experience enables administrators to create and manage mobile-friendly career sites and application workflows that can be easily accessed by candidates using any device.

With mobile-friendly application workflows, the entire application can now be configured to a single page, rather than a series of steps. Single-page applications speed up the application process and improve the candidate experience. Given the number high number of applicant who are only using a mobile device to search for and apply to jobs, mobile-friendly applications can also increase the conversion rate and help you reach the widest audience possible.

Prior to this enhancement, the mobile experience had to be enabled on an individual career site in order to support a mobile-friendly application experience. In addition, some parts of the application could not be completed on a mobile device or were incompatible.

Mobile-Friendly Career Sites(Early Adopter) Self-Enabled

The mobile-friendly candidate experience enables administrators to create and manage mobile-friendly career sites and application workflows that can be easily accessed by candidates using any device.

Prior to this enhancement, mobile features on career sites had to be enabled by the administrator. The mobile site was also not at feature parody with desktop, contributing to a lesser experience. LinkedIn, resume parsing, Apply as Guest, and localization were not available or compatible. Now, you can create robust, mobile-friendly career sites that provide a better candidate experience, maximize the volume of applications, and reduce administrative overhead.

Pre-Screening Question Enhancements Yes

Availability Note: The new pre-screening question types will be available during the second half of user acceptance testing (UAT).

With this enhancement, the Pre-Screening Questions functionality is updated to provide greater flexibility in the types of questions that can be created. In addition, questions will no longer need to have a correct or incorrect answer.

Required Offer Letter Fields Yes With this enhancement, administrators can now mark default and custom offer letter fields as required in Offer Letter Preferences. This helps to make sure important information is never missed in an offer letter by including fields that are required to be completed when creating the offer.
Review Applicants UI Redesign Yes

With this enhancement, the user interface (UI) of the Review Applicants page is updated to reflect current styles.

Note: This enhancement also appears in Hiring Manager Shortlisting Enhancements for the February '18 release.

Shortlisting for Hiring Managers and Applicant Reviewers No

With this enhancement, applicant reviewers and hiring managers will now only see applicants that are in the Review status type. Further, once they have reviewed the applicant, the applicant will no longer appear on their Review Applicants page. This helps to ensure that reviewers only view applicants they need to review. It also enables them to quickly review and give feedback on the shortlist of applicants sent by recruiters.

In addition to this enhancement, the following updates are made:

  • The user interface (UI) for the Review Applicants page is updated to reflect current styles.
  • An Applicant Review Feedback Received email is added to Email Administration.
  • The Resume/CV Review page is updated to include Advance/Pass applicant options.
  • Reviewer feedback can now be viewed on the Manage Applicants page and the Applicant Profile > Summary tab.
  • A Review Applicants action is added to the Universal Profile > Actions tab.

Succession Features

This custom report type can include user, talent pool, nomination list, and modification history data. In addition, the existing Custom Job Pool Report is enhanced to enable administrators to report on successors who were added to a position from Succession Snapshot or a job pool task.
Helicopter View Task Calibration

This functionality is disabled for all tasks that are created prior to the February 2018 release.

With this enhancement, Employee Relationship and Assessor succession tasks can be configured to allow users to calibrate the task ratings from the Helicopter View. The Helicopter View is updated to enable users to view and calibrate Evergreen data or data from a specific succession task. In addition, two new filters are now available on the Helicopter View, Employee Segment and Custom Relationship, which enable users to filter the users on the grid by segment of subordinates or by custom relationship.
SMP Task Print PDF Optimizations Yes With this enhancement, users can now choose to print Succession tasks from their browser or generate a PDF. The print options available from the Scheduled Tasks page and within the task are updated to make printing the task much easier.
Succession Comment Log Yes, new permission assigned to default system admin With this enhancement, a new Succession Comment Log is available for users, which is a log of succession-related comments that have been added for the user from various locations in the system. Because the Succession Comment Log contains all succession-related comments, the log appears the same and contains the same comments, regardless of where it is accessed. Custom reporting fields are available to report on the Succession Comment Log.
Succession Admin Pages UI Redesign Yes With this enhancement, Succession Task Administration pages have been redesigned to help administrators execute their workflows in a more pleasing user interface. This is a multi-release effort that will extend to more pages in future releases. There are no functional changes to the pages, only an update to the look and feel of the pages.
Universal Profile Resume Entry Multi-Select Yes. However, this functionality is disabled for all resume sections by default.
