Compensation Features

With this enhancement, the decimal precision rate that an administrator enters for numerical custom fields in a compensation plan is now utilized on Custom Compensation Statements. For example, if an administrator enters a custom field as 40.00, then the custom field is displayed as 40.00 instead of 40.0000 as it previously showed on the custom statement. This is very important when clients use custom fields to show dollar values on the custom statement.

This enhancement will be released in the first patch after the October '16 release on November 11, 2016.
Custom Reports - Compensation Task Status Custom Reports - Compensation Task Status  

With this enhancement, administrators can now report on the status of a compensation task via custom reporting. A Task Status field is now available in the Compensation Task section when creating a Compensation Custom Report.

This functionality will be released in the December 2nd post-release patch.
Custom Wage Types Custom Wage Types Yes With this enhancement, new default wage types are now available in the system. Upon release, the new wage types are view only and can only be edited or activated through a non-billable request to Global Customer Support. Custom wage types enable organizations to meet global organizational requirements of storing and paying employees in any type of wage.
Universal Profile - Actions - Review Compensation Plan     With this enhancement, the option to review a compensation plan from the Universal Profile: Actions page is renamed from Approve Plan to Review Plan.

Auto-Upgrade of Themes in February 2017 Auto-Upgrade of Themes in February 2017   In the February 2017 Release, the Contemporary Theme will be auto-upgraded to the Contemporary Extended Theme. The Eggshell Theme will be auto-upgraded to the Eggshell Extended Theme. The Extended Themes provide an optimized experience on mobile devices for improved accessibility and meet WCAG/508 compliance standards.
Custom Reports Enhancements Custom Reports Enhancements   With this enhancement, updates are made to published widgets for dashboards. An enhancement is also made to the Reports Inside a Folder - Share permission.
Custom Reports - Forms Custom Reports - Forms See notes. With this enhancement, a new Custom Forms Report is now available. This custom report type enables the creation of custom reports on Form Users, Form Tasks, Form Attributes, Form Fields, and Form Approvals. In addition, the Custom Onboarding Report sections are restructured to more clearly categorize the fields.
Custom Reports - Local System ID Custom Reports - Local System ID   With this enhancement, administrators can now report on the Local System ID for a user. A Local System ID field is now available in the User section when creating any type of custom report.
Data Load Wizard - Support Organizational Unit Auditing Data Load Wizard - Support Organizational Unit Auditing See notes. With this enhancement, when OUs are added to the system or modified via the Data Load Wizard, then these modifications are tracked and visible in the Modification History for the OU. The Reason for Change for all OU modifications from the Data Load Wizard are set to Data Load Feed.
Enable Group Processing Enable Group Processing   With this enhancement, administrators now have the option to freeze or temporarily halt the daily processing of a group. This option is available when creating or editing a group.
End of IE8 Support in February 2017 End of IE8 Support in February 2017   In order to keep up with browser security requirements and the latest software enhancements, Cornerstone will discontinue support for Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 in February 2017. Please reach out to your IT department and make plans to convert to one of the compatible browsers prior to the February 2017 release.

With the October '16 release, an HTML Sanitization Security enhancement and a Custom Page Builder Security enhancement were scheduled to be released. These enhancements have been removed from the October '16 release, and instead, they will be included in a larger enhancement in an upcoming release. However, these enhancements will be available in Stage portals until October 12, 2016.

It is important to note that these enhancements will not impact any pages in Production or Pilot portals.

This enhancement has been removed from the October ’16 release and will be available in a future release. While this change is being reverted, clients may still see the new behavior in their Stage portals through October 12.
Language Pack Renamed - Arabic Language Pack Renamed - Arabic   With this enhancement, the Arabic (Saudi Arabic) language pack is renamed and is now titled Arabic. This is only a name change. The translations associated with the language pack are not affected. As a result, the language pack name is updated everywhere the language pack name is displayed.
Link - Organizational Unit Auditing Link - Organizational Unit Auditing See notes. With this enhancement, additional details are now available in the Modification History when an OU is modified. In addition, administrators are now required to include a Reason for Change when modifying an OU, and this value is also displayed in the Modification History.
Link - Sort and Search Duplicate Users Link - Sort and Search Duplicate Users See notes. With this enhancement, administrators now have the ability to search and sort pending duplicate users on the Pending User Records page.
Link - User Audit Report Link - User Audit Report See notes. With this enhancement, Cornerstone has redesigned how user audits are handled for Link clients to give better access to user auditing data. Reporting on user record audit data is now available through a new standard report. This report will appropriately localize all fields included in the modification history, giving clients an improved ability to report on audit data.
OU Parent Value     With this enhancement, you can now report on the parent value for all organizational units (OU) in custom reports. The parent OU of all OU types will be available in the User section of custom reports. This also includes the Multi-Module Custom Report. The field will display the parent OU values for the user. Standard and custom OU types will be supported.
Recently Viewed and Pinned Links Enhancement Recently Viewed and Pinned Links Enhancement   With this enhancement, the Configuration Tools page now supports up to 10 links for Recently Viewed pages and 9 Pinned Links. For portals using the Learning module, administrators can now pin training via the new Course Console, and can also track training and user's transcripts that they have recently viewed.
UltiPro Single Sign-On Integration UltiPro Single Sign-On Integration Yes With this enhancement, a new UltiPro Single Sign-On integration is now available. This integration allows a user to access their Cornerstone portal directly from UltiPro without the need to enter another set of login credentials.
User Record Data Deletion via Anonymization User Record Data Deletion via Anonymization to Support Data Privacy Invite-Only Beta

With this enhancement, organizations are able to request that employee data be made anonymous based on the following removal scenarios:

  • User Based Removal - This type of anonymization occurs when a user leaves a legal entity and the user requests that the organization anonymize their data.
    • For this type of removal, the user does not need to have a Termination Date populated, and the user does not need to belong to a Legal Entity. The Legal Entity determines the user record retention period.
  • Time Based Removal - This type of anonymization occurs automatically after a certain period of time.
    • For this type of removal, the user does need to have a Termination Date populated, and the user must belong to a Legal Entity.

There are two types of data removal:

  • Deletion - Data deletion removes the data from all databases, and the data is not recoverable.
  • Anonymization - Data anonymization scrambles the user's identifiable information, and this process is not reversible.
View - Filter by Custom Fields View - Filter by Custom Fields See notes. With this enhancement, View People can be filtered by Organizational Unit (OU) custom fields and User Record custom fields. The OU custom fields appear in the Organization filter. The User Record custom fields appear in the Attributes filter.

With this enhancement, the following updates are made to View Data with the October '16 release:

Web Services - GET: OU Service Web Services - GET: OU Service See notes. With this enhancement, a new GET: OU (REST) web service is now available. This web service can be used to retrieve details for an organizational unit (OU).
Web Services - Global Search (REST) Web Services - Global Search (REST) See notes. With this enhancement, the Global Search (REST) web service is enhanced to return previous versions of a learning object (LO) when a search is initiated.
Web Services - Throttling for REST Services Web Services - Throttling for REST Services See notes.

With this enhancement, a throttling limit of 25,000 requests per hour (approximately 417 requests per minute) per client is set for REST web services. This helps to ensure that all organizations are able to retrieve the data that they need from the Cornerstone system.

A Proxy Enrollment API throttle limit of 20,000 requests per day per client is also set. Overall, a limit of 200,000 requests per day per client is set.

This functionality will be released in the November 11 post-release patch.
Workforce Planning - Attribute Search Workforce Planning - Attribute Search See notes. With this enhancement, a predictive search feature is added to the Location, Cost Center, Division, and Grade fields in the attributes panel on the planning page.
Workforce Planning - Localization Workforce Planning - Localization See notes. With this enhancement, all Headcount Planning pages and fields will display in the language defined in the Display Language field on the user's user record. Prior to this enhancement, the Headcount Planning pages only displayed in English.

When a user has this permission, the number of attempts and the score for a training item is visible in the report output. Browse for Training Tile View Fix Browse for Training - Custom Thumbnail Images Viewable by Anonymous Users No

With this enhancement, all users will be able to see custom image thumbnails uploaded for LOs on the Browse for Training page. This will improve the user experience for anonymous users who typically browse for training before purchasing or creating an account.
Course Catalog Enhancements Course Catalog Enhancements No With this enhancement, Course Catalog functionality has been updated to allow administrators to navigate to the Course Console for LOs directly from the Course Catalog page.
Course Catalog Old UI Auto Upgrade Course Catalog Old UI Auto Upgrade   In February 2017, all portals using the Course Catalog Search - Old UI will be automatically upgraded to the Course Catalog Search - New UI.
Course Console Course Console No With this enhancement, administrators have access to a new Course Console for each training item in the Course Catalog, which allows them to manage various aspects of a training item from one central location.

With this enhancement, Learning fields are added, modified, and removed with the October '16 release. This enhancement affects the following custom report sections:

Custom Reports - EXE Transaction Custom Fields Custom Reports - EXE Transaction Custom Fields   With this enhancement, a Transaction Custom Fields section is added to the Transaction Custom Report. This section allows you to track data from Transaction custom fields.

With this enhancement, learning administrators have access to a new Learning Admin Console which consolidates several training management actions into one central location, allowing them to more easily access critical training information and manage training.
Learning Email Digests Email Digest - Training Assigned and Training Due No With this enhancement, an automated email digest can be configured to dynamically consolidate Training Assigned and Training Due emails and deploy at a scheduled time.
Mark External Training Complete "Mark Complete" for External Training No Previously, the language for the action of completing external training from the transcript was, "Complete." With this enhancement, the language for this action has been modified to "Mark Complete" to clarify the action for users.
Material Versioning Fix Material Versioning - View All Dynamic Proxy Enrollments for Curricula No With this enhancement, on the Reversion Options page of the material versioning process, administrators can now view the dynamic proxy enrollments for curricula containing any version of the material if it is still active.
On the Job Training On the Job Training No With this enhancement, material learning objects (LOs) now provide an On the Job Training section, which allows administrators to associate observers with the material along with a set of fields the observer can populate when recording an On the Job Training completion attempt. Observers can assess learners' skills and review previous attempts, and learners receive a record of the On the Job Training on their transcripts.
Online Course - Log Record Online Course - Log Record Yes With this enhancement, the LMS stores a log record every time a user launches an online course. This enhancement enables organizations using the Learning module to better track learning hours for each online course occurrence.

With this enhancement, a new GET: Certification Details (REST) web service is now available, which retrieves the details of a certification, including Certificate LO ID, Title, Family, Category, Version, Credits Required, Section Title, Sequence, etc.
Web Services - GET: Certification Transcript Web Services - GET: Certification Transcript See notes. With this enhancement, a new GET: Certification Transcript (REST) web service is now available, which retrieves a user's certification transcript information.
Web Services - GET: Session Roster Web Services - GET: Session Roster See notes. With this enhancement, a new GET: Session Roster (REST) web service is now available, which retrieves a list of users who are registered for a session with attendance, score, and pass/fail status.
Web Services - GET: Transcript and Task Web Services - GET: Transcript and Task See notes. With this enhancement, the GET: Transcript and Task (REST) web service is enhanced to return previous versions of a user's transcript. A new AllVersion parameter is added to the request. When this parameter is set to True, the service returns transcripts that have a status of "Old Version."

Mobile Features

Custom Disclaimer Custom Disclaimer   With this enhancement, a customized disclaimer message can be created in Mobile Preferences. The disclaimer will display to all users within the associated Division Organizational Unit (OU) after they have logged in to the Cornerstone Mobile app.
Dashboard Configuration and Custom Training Widget Dashboard Configuration and Custom Training Widget  

With this enhancement, administrators now have the ability to enable or disable the visibility of any widget in the mobile dashboard via a new preferences page, Mobile Dashboard Widgets. Administrators can also customize the look and feel of the dashboard by uploading and selecting icons for each widget and naming the widgets.

In addition, for portals with Learning enabled, a Featured Training widget is now available for the dashboard. This widget can be added to the dashboard multiple times and displays a link to one featured training item per widget. You can customize the name for this widget and select your own icon for the widget.
End of iOS8 and Android KitKat Support in February 2017 End of iOS8 and Android KitKat Support in February 2017   In order to keep up with security requirements and the latest software enhancements, Cornerstone will discontinue support for iOS8 and Android KitKat versions in February 2017. Recruiting Features

Applicants will no longer have to create a profile on the career site prior to applying to a job. eQuest Integration eQuest Integration   With this integration, a recruiter can create a job requisition and post it to multiple job boards worldwide from within the External Postings page of the requisition. In addition, recruiters will be able to perform several actions like edit or delete the job posting.
Hiring Dashboard - Interviews Widget Hiring Dashboard - Interviews Widget   With this enhancement, an Interviews widget is added to the Hiring Dashboard. The widget provides hiring managers and recruiters visibility into interview feedback, interview requests, and upcoming interviews.
Hiring Dashboard - Offer Letter Approvals Hiring Dashboard - Offer Letter Approvals   With this enhancement, offer letters can now be reviewed, approved, and denied from the Approvals widget on the Hiring Dashboard. Prior to this enhancement, offer letters could only be approved or denied from the Recruiting Approvals page.
Multiple Locations on a Requisition Post Single Requisition with Multiple Locations   With this enhancement, multiple locations can now be added to a single job requisition. Prior to this enhancement, individual requisitions needed to be created per location, and recruiters needed to create related requisitions (parent/child requisitions) in order to post a job in multiple locations.
Offer Letter Approvals in Universal Profile Offer Letter Approvals in Universal Profile   With this enhancement, offer letters can now be reviewed, approved, and denied from the Universal Profile > Actions > Requests tab. Users will no longer need to navigate away from Universal Profile and can make all relevant recruiting actions from the Actions page. This enhancement streamlines the offer letter approval process by reducing the amount of time it will take for users to make offer letter decisions, which allows recruiters and hiring managers to focus on improved service and delivering value.
Recruiting Usability Improvements Recruiting Usability Improvements   Usability improvements are made to the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Requisition Field Level Access Requisition Field Level Access  

With this enhancement, administrators will be able to configure different levels of access for various hiring roles, allowing them to determine which users can have edit access or read-only access.

In addition, a new Requisition: Hiring Manager dynamically assigned role is added to the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). This role provides hiring managers with read-only access to job requisitions.
Web Services - GET: Job Requisition Web Services - GET: Job Requisition See notes. With this enhancement, the GET: Job Requisition (REST) web service is enhanced to return additional information.
Web Services - POST: Job Applicant Status Web Services - POST: Job Applicant Status See notes. With this enhancement, a new POST: Job Applicant Status (REST) web service is now available. This web service can be used to update the status of a job applicant. This web service observes any required applicant status workflows. For example, if there is a required status, the user must first complete the required status before moving to the next status.
Word to PDF Converter - Hebrew Support Word to PDF Converter - Hebrew Support   This enhancement replaces the previous MS Word to PDF converter with a more robust, stable converter that also supports Hebrew so that uploaded documents are converted more accurately and Web servers are more stable when converting the files to PDF. Additionally, images displayed on the Resume/CV Review page were not being properly converted.
