Goals Redesign (Open Beta)

With this release, the redesigned Goals features provide users with a new modern, simple and intuitive user interface (UI) that enables them to easily:

  • Create new goals.
  • Create new tasks and targets
  • Assign goals to teams
  • Update task and target progress

To access the new Goals redesign, go to Performance > Try the new Goals.

Note: Only the UI is redesigned - the goals functionality remains the same.

Users can quickly update task or target progress using the new slider on the My Goals page:

Note: Division Goals and Manager Goals are no longer visible on the My Goals page.

How Does this Enhancement Benefit My Organization?

Users can effortlessly set, track, and manage their goals, promoting increased engagement and managers can create goals for their employees and have increased visibility into their team's progress, facilitating more informed decision-making, and fostering a collaborative approach to performance management.​

Considerations

Once you select Performance > Try New Goals, there is no navigation between the old UI and the new UI.

Implementation

This functionality is automatically enabled on Stage for all organizations using the Performance module.

Permissions

The following existing permissions apply to this functionality:

Goals - Create

Grants ability for user to create goals for self, direct reports, and indirect reports only. Any constraint on this permission is operating as an "AND" function. This permission can be constrained by Employee Relationship, OU, User's OU, and User Self and Subordinates. This is an end user permission.

Performance
View Goals

Grants ability to view own goals and (depending on role and settings) goals of others (manager's visible goals, direct subordinate's goals, company goals, division goals). This permission can be constrained by Employee Relationship, OU, User's OU, and User Self and Subordinates. This is an end user permission.
