Edge Import Learning Loads - Enhancements to Align with Portal Functionality

This enhancement updates existing learning loads to support more customer use cases and recent enhancements.

Changes in the “Curriculum Player” field acceptable values

Previously, the Curriculum Player field accepted True or False values.

With this enhancement, the Curriculum Player field accepts Training Details, Curriculum Player, or Curriculum Player 2.0.

This change impacts the Curriculum load.

Update to the “Curriculum Player” default setting

Previously, the default value for the Curriculum Player was "False," which meant Training Details.

With this enhancement, when “Apply default value” is selected for the “What should we do with blank values?” load configuration question, the default value is now “Curriculum Player.”

This change impacts the Curriculum load.

Sessions inherit Event's Pricing and Training Unit field values

Previously, the Event's Pricing and Training Unit fields were not supported by the ILT Session load.

With this enhancement, when a new session is created, the Event's Pricing and Training Unit field values are inherited from the Event.

This includes the following Pricing fields:

Default Price
Override User's OU Currency
Active and Future Pricing - Pricing LOs by OU Rules

This includes the following Training Unit fields:

Training Unit Criteria (Training Units)
Default Training Unit Price
Active and Future Pricing - Pricing LOs by OU Rules

Historical Pricing is NOT supported.

This change impacts the ILT Sessions load.

Training Request Forms for Sessions

Previously, Edge Import did not copy the Training Request Forms and Availability type values when copying availability from events.

With this enhancement, Training Request Forms and Availability type values (Featured, Suggested, Required) are copied when the “Copy Availability from Event” field is true.

This change impacts the ILT Sessions load.

Training Request Forms for Events

Previously, Edge Import did not copy the Training Request Forms and Availability type values when copying availability from events.

With this enhancement, Training Request Forms and Availability type values (Featured, Suggested, Required) are copied when the “Copy Availability to New Sessions” field is true.

This change impacts the ILT Events load.

Update to the "Maximum Users" field maximum value

Previously, the maximum value for the "Maximum Users" field was 999.

With this enhancement, the maximum value for the "Maximum Users" field is 9,999.

This change impacts the ILT Events and ILT Sessions loads.

Update to the "Part Description" default setting

Previously, the default value for the Part Description field was No Default.

With this enhancement, the default value for the Part Description field is “BLANK,” which is consistent with description field for all other training load types. When “Apply default value” is selected for the “What should we do with blank values?” load configuration question, the default value is now “BLANK”.

This change impacts the ILT Session Parts load.

Implementation

This functionality is automatically enabled for existing Edge Import customers.

The Template Guides in Edge Import will be updated to reflect this enhancement.
