Edge Import - Performance - Competency Bank Load Enhancements

Previously, the Edge Import Competency Bank load supported loading competencies with items or behaviors.

This enhancement supports adding Training Equivalence and Suggested Feedback to competencies. It also supports associating Development Actions with competencies, competency items, and behaviors.

A new Competency Training, Feedback, & Development Actions option is now available when selecting the load type.

Considerations

  • Edge Import supports linking a maximum of five training items to a competency, regardless of organizational settings.
  • Suggested Feedback, Development Actions, and Training Equivalence cannot be updated using Edge Import.
  • Edge Import Competency load does not support Free-form training.
  • Edge Import functionality may encounter compatibility issues with Comment Categories that contain special characters.
  • The Behavior and Item ID is not currently visible in the system. Administrators must keep track of it for future reference when accessing the data.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Ensure the Competency Category is active and the competency category name includes the portal's default language and any localized values. Update the Competency Category accordingly.

To link Development Actions to Competency Items or Behaviors, include both the System ID and Behavior or Item ID. If you only wish to associate Development Actions with the competency, provide only the System ID.

The application validates for an exact match of the Comment Category as configured in your portal. Ensure that the Comment Category provided matches the configured category exactly.

Implementation

This functionality is automatically enabled for existing Edge Import customers.

The Template Guides in Edge Import will be updated to reflect this enhancement.
