Performance Reviews – Update Missing Reviewers

Prior to this enhancement, if a review step was paused because a reviewer was missing, the administrator had to submit a work order to update the missing reviewer.

With this enhancement, administrators can now self-update missing reviewers in a paused review step instead of submitting a work order during a review cycle. While the page primarily displays reviewers to be added for paused steps, it is not restricted to them. Even if a step is not paused, for example, when a co-planner is also assigned to the step, missing reviewers still appear on the page if they are available to update in the system. This functionality allows all instances where a reviewer is absent for an in-progress or overdue review step to be easily identified and addressed.

Administrators can now:

  • Update reviewers for multiple reviewees or multiple review steps in a single review task.
  • View all reviewee records with missing reviewers.

The updated reviewer step is automatically reopened for the new manager to resubmit with feedback. Note: The updated reviewer step will reopen automatically only if there is no other review step in the workflow in reopened status.​​​

The step status is not changed to ensure the review cycle is not paused in case feedback from the new manager is not mandatory.

To access this functionality, go to Admin > Tools > Performance management> Tasks >. Select Update Reviewer from the Options menu.

Considerations

  • This functionality is only applicable for records where a reviewer is missing. It cannot be used to change an existing reviewer​.
  • Missing Reviewers can only be updated if the review step is launched but could not be progressed due to an absence of a reviewer. It will not show records for a future step. This is because before the step launches, if the new reviewer is updated in system, it will automatically update the reviewer in the review step.​

This functionality is automatically enabled for all organizations using the Performance module.

Permissions

The following existing permissions apply to this functionality:
