Overwrite Settings Guardrail
With this enhancement, when an administrator attempts to save the configuration for the following Core Preferences pages, a pop-up warning message is displayed if the Overwrite custom settings checkbox is selected:
Administrators can select to overwrite custom settings for child OUs or to cancel the action and return to the preferences page.
This helps prevent inadvertent changes if the Overwrite custom settings checkbox is selected unintentionally. If this setting is selected in error, recovering previous configurations is difficult and time-consuming to fix.
Implementation
This functionality is automatically enabled for all organizations.
Permissions
The following existing permissions apply to this functionality:
