Enhanced Skills Profile - Overview
With this enhancement, the Skills Profile is enhanced with a new user experience that includes an updated look and new widgets. This enhancement increases usability and adoption by presenting critical information at a glance and shifting the focus from a simple list of skills to an actionable view of the most important development activities.
The Enhanced Skills Profile includes the following features:
- Simpler profile creation onboarding experience with more guidance
- A new manager view that facilitates simplified skill coaching and monitoring
- New Critical Skills and Your Skills Proficiency pie charts that provide an at-a-glance view of skill progression

What happens if critical skills are not enabled for an employee?
The Critical skills widget does not display on the Skills Profile.
What happens if a user completes the three steps to populate their Skills Profile and they do not have critical skills enabled?
The Complete your profile and Critical skills widgets do not display on the Skills Profile. The Your skills proficiency and Skills you're developing widgets display at the top of the page.
Are these enhancements applicable to the manager view as well?
Yes, the Enhanced Skills Profile is available for self and manager view.
Is there any change in the critical skills view?
No, critical skills view is integrated with the critical skills donut chart with sorting options, progress tracking, and the total number of skills in each status.
Implementation
This functionality is automatically enabled for all organizations. The Critical Skills widget is visible when Critical Skills are enabled for employees.
Permissions
The following existing permissions apply to this functionality:

Grants the ability to view an employee Skills Profile. Users with this permission may view the Skills Profile for anyone in the organization. However, individual ratings have privacy settings that control visibility within the Skills Profile. This permission cannot be constrained. This is an end user permission. |

Grants the ability to view the Critical Skills table for any user. This permission cannot be constrained. This is an administrator permission. Administrators must also have permission to access the user's Skills Profile. |
