Edge Import - Deprecate Support for .XLS File Type with the November '24 Release

With the November ’24 Release, Edge Import will no longer support uploading and processing files with an .xls extension (Microsoft Excel 97-2003).

Deprecation Milestones

March ‘24 Release

  • Deprecation is announced.
  • Customers can begin converting their load/feed files from .xls to .xlsx or other supported file types.

July ‘24 Release

  • Warning message will appear in Edge Import when an .xls file is uploaded.
  • Warning message will be displayed in the email notification if an .xls file is used.

November ’24 Release

Import/feed files with .xls file extension will no longer be processed.
