Self Schedule Interview - Select and Schedule Session

Applicants select and schedule their preferred interview session in the Available Sessions section of the self schedule page. From this section, applicants can also request an alternative session date/time and decline the self schedule interview invite.

Select Session

The Available Sessions section displays the interview sessions that are available for the applicant to select. The sessions are grouped into Morning, Afternoon, Evening, and Select Time blocks.

The following information displays in the table:

  • Day/Date - The day of the week and date of the session displays in the top row of the table. Scroll to view additional dates. If "Not Available" displays for a date, then this indicates that there are no sessions available for that date.
  • Morning - This drop-down displays all sessions that are between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 a.m. Click the drop-down to view the sessions. Select the desired session, then click Schedule Session.
  • Afternoon - This drop-down displays all sessions that are between 12:00 p.m. and 4:59 p.m. Click the drop-down to view the sessions. Select the desired session, then click Schedule Session.
  • Evening - This drop-down displays all sessions that are between 5:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. Click the drop-down to view the sessions. Select the desired session, then click Schedule Session.
  • Select Time - If the drop-down is titled "Select Time," then this indicates that the sessions are grouped into blocks that are five hours or longer. Click the drop-down to view the available time blocks. Select the desired time block, then click Schedule Session.

Schedule Session

Applicants schedule their selected session by clicking the Schedule Session button. This closes the applicant self schedule page and moves the Self Schedule Invitation task from the Pending Tasks panel on the My Profile page to the Completed Tasks panel.

Considerations

  • If the selected session is no longer available when the applicant clicks the Schedule Session button, then a message displays indicating that the session is not available and the applicant will need to select a different session.
  • If there are no longer any sessions available when the applicant clicks the Schedule Session button, then a message displays indicating that there are no sessions left for the event. The applicant can click the request an alternative session link.

Request Alternative Session

If none of the sessions are convenient for the applicant, then they can request an alternative session by clicking the request an alternative session link. This opens the Request Alternative Session pop-up. Applicants enter a new time that works better for them, and then click Request. This closes the pop-up and returns the applicant to their career site profile. The Self Schedule Interview task will appear as Completed on the My Tasks panel.

For recruiters, when an applicant requests an alternative session, the request is visible on the Invites Not Scheduled page.

Decline Session

Applicants can decline the interview invitation. To decline an invitation, click the Decline button. This opens the Decline pop-up. Enter the reason for declining the invitation, up to 1000 characters. Then, click Decline. This closes the pop-up and returns the applicant to their career site profile. The Self Schedule Interview task moves to the Completed Tasks panel.

For recruiters, when an applicant declines an invitation, the reason provided by the applicant is visible on the Invites Not Scheduled page.
