Define Employee Relationships

Custom Relationships can be used in Performance Reviews or Compensation Tasks, but not in Competency Assessment Tasks. Custom Peer Groups can be used in Competency Assessment 360s. Note: Indirect managers cannot be selected as peers.

To access the Employee Relationships page, go to Admin > Tools > Core Functions > Employee Relationships.

Define Employee Relationship

To define an employee relationship, click the plus icon to the right of the Relationships heading.

In the In the Add Relationship pop-up, enter the relationship name and click Save. The relationship name will appear on the User Record and other places where employee relationships are used. You can add up to ten relationships.

System-defined Employee Relationship

The following are system-defined Employee Relationships and cannot be modified or translated:

  • Self
  • Manager
  • Indirect Manager
  • Subordinates
  • Indirect Subordinates
