My Team - Certification

The My Team - Certification page allows managers to view their direct reports' certification status, assign certifications, and archive and reactivate certifications.

To access the My Team - Certification page for a subordinate, click My Team in the main toolbar. Click the appropriate subordinate photo ID card in the left navigation. Then click the Profile tab and then click the Certification sub tab.

Note: Depending on the administrator's configuration in My Team/Talent Profile Preferences (by Division), your portal may have more than one Certification sublink: one that displays a user's completed certifications and another that displays data from a user's Certifications Transcript page.

Assign a Certification

To assign a certification to a subordinate, with the appropriate subordinate selected in the left navigation, click the Add Certification link in the upper-left corner of the panel. This opens the Select Certification pop-up.

  1. Search for the appropriate certification and click the plus icon to the left of the certification title.
  2. This opens the Assign Certification page with the user's name already selected. Click Submit to assign the certification.

The assigned certification appears on the user's Welcome page.

View Certifications

The Certifications table displays all of the certifications assigned to the user. Managers can choose to view only the Active or the Archived certifications by selecting the appropriate radio button in the upper-right corner of the table.

The following information displays for each certification:

  • Title - The certification title. Click the title to view the Certification Details page.
  • Due Date - The certification due date. If the certification is past due, the due date appears in red text.
  • Expiration Date - The certification expiration date. If the certification is expired, the expiration date appears in red text.
  • Current Status - The current status of the certification.

The following options are available in the Options column:

  • Archive - Click this icon to archive the certification. This opens the following pop-up:

    Click Archive to archive the certification. Once archived, the certification is no longer active and it appears in the Archived view.

  • Activate - Click this icon to reactivate the certification. This moves the certification back to the Active view.

Note: Certifications that are in a Revoked status can be archived and reactivated.

Select Session

If an event is configured to restrict users from selecting sessions when registering for an event, you can select a session for the user by accessing the training from the My Team Certification page. To select sessions for an event on a user's My Transcript Certification page, you must have permission to view or edit transcript items. To view the My Team Certification page, you must have permission to manage MyTeam certifications.

Select Session for Event on Certification Details Page

  1. Click the certification title. This opens the Certification Details page.

  2. Click the Request link in the Options column for the event. This opens the Select Session pop-up.

  3. Click the Request link to request the session.

The certification in the user's transcript is updated with the selected session. Note: Only sessions that are available to the user display in the Available Sessions view.

Select Session for Event in Certification Player

  1. Click the certification title. This opens the Certification Player.
  2. Click the event title from the left navigation panel. This opens the event page.

  3. Click the Select Session link. This opens the Select Session pop-up.
  4. Click the Request link to request the session.

The certification in the user's transcript is updated with the selected session. Note: Only sessions that are available to the user display in the Available Sessions view.
