Multi-factor Authentication - End User Experience

If a user is required to log in with Multi-factor Authentication (MFA), they need to have a mobile device, such as a smartphone, with a Time-based One-time Password (TOTP)-compatible virtual authenticator application installed to log in to the Cornerstone CSX platform.

Register New Device

Users can register a new mobile device in two different ways: in My Account or during the initial Login Process after MFA has been enabled for a user account.

  1. My Account - This option is available to all users of an MFA-enabled portal. See My Account - Register New Device.
  2. Login Process - This option is available and mandatory to all users who must log in with MFA but have not yet registered a device. See Login Process - Register New Device.
