Security Role Administration Enhancements

The following enhancements have been made to Security Role Administration to help prevent inadvertent errors when creating and updating security roles:

  • The security role name is displayed when adding permissions to a security role
  • The permission name is displayed when adding constraints
  • "(Copy)" is displayed in the role name when copying an existing role

To access Security Role Administration, go to Admin > Tools > Core Functions > Security Role Administration.

Adding Permissions to a Role

When adding permission to a security role, the name of the security role is displayed in the Select Permissions pop-up. This helps administrators easily recall the security role to which they are adding permissions.

Add Constraints to a Permission

When adding constraints to a permission, the name of the permission is displayed in the Add Permission Constraints pop-up. This helps administrators easily recall the permission to which they are adding constraints.

Copy Security Role

When copying an existing security role, the new security role name has "(Copy)" added to the name of the original security role. This helps administrators easily identify that they are creating or editing a copy rather than the original. This also helps administrators recall which security role is being copied and edited.

Implementation

This functionality is automatically enabled for all organizations.
