People Matrix - Manager Mode
A new People Matrix feature displays a group of users and their proficiency for a set of capabilities. Managers can configure which users and capabilities are included in the matrix.
The following features are available:
- Create interactive matrices to visualize skills data at the team level
- Set target goals and see how your teams compares with the targets
- Easily review and compare self-ratings, peer ratings, and manager ratings in a single interface
- Proficiency levels are predicted by the AI for declared skills tied to the employee role
People Matrix's “Manager Mode” displays a team's declared skills and targets. Indirect managers and interested parties can be given access to rating data via a new constrainable permission.
Matrices can be easily managed from the home page where you can take advantage of summary metrics before diving into the details. Rating data can be actionable from the matrix; managers can rate employees and peers and data can be exported. Skills-based “Related Learning” recommendations are available for Learning customers.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

No, People Matrix is available to CSX customers free of charge for the manager use case.

Not currently. For now, People Matrix relies on the Skills Graph data. As we further integrate the systems, this may become possible.

Only Capabilities is required, but if you want to take advantage of learning recommendations, then the CSX Learning product is needed.

Ideally, you will have already defined what skills are important to your team and will have baseline data. If you do not have baseline data, you can always add it via the matrix, but you will still need to define what it is you want to track. People Matrix can help in showing you what skills are shared by your team, and what skills they might have based on their roles.

Yes, viewers of the People Matrix can be constrained to just their teams, location, division, etc.

No, but it is targeted to be added in a future release.

Yes, but unless the rating data is set to public, you may not be able to see it when it is added. To solve for this, users who need access to rating data beyond that of their direct subordinates can be granted the
permission. This allows them to see ratings that have been shared. This permission can be constrained.Considerations
- To update ratings via the matrix, customers must enable the feature connectors in the feedback templates.
- Proficiency Levels and Rating Scales can be configured independently. Customers are advised to keep Proficiency Levels and Rating Scales the same to avoid confusion.
- Related Learning requires customers to have purchased the Learning functionality.
Implementation
This functionality is automatically enabled for all organizations.
Access to the People Matrix is controlled by the
and permissions. Access to predicted proficiency levels is controlled by the permission. When users are granted the permission, they are granted access to the specified rating data wherever it is available.Glossary
