Deep Links in the Learn App
Prior to this release, when a user selected a deep link, the user was directed to their web browser.
With this release, Cornerstone Learn app users are taken directly to the relevant page in the Learn app when the following types of deep links are accessed using a mobile device:
If the user is not already logged in to the app, they will be prompted to log in prior to navigating to the deep linked page or training. Email tags LAUNCH.TRAINING and TRANSCRIPT.LINK are also supported with this enhancement when the deep link backend setting is enabled for these tags.
This functionality is not available during UAT.
How Does this Enhancement Benefit My Organization?
Deep links send users directly to the relevant Learn app module instead of the browser, which is in line with customer expectations and makes it easier to complete training when working remotely.
Implementation
This functionality is automatically enabled in versions of the Cornerstone Learn app available after the March '23 Release.
If the apps on a user’s device are configured to auto-update, no action is required from the user to receive this functionality. If the apps on a user's device are not configured to auto-update, the user must download the latest version of the app from either the Apple store or the Google Play store.
Training must be enabled for Mobile in the Course Catalog. Deep links with csod.com are supported; deep links for Vanity URLs (custom base URLs) and Encoded URLs are not supported.
This functionality is not available during UAT.
