Manage Candidates - Display Additional Candidate Types

Prior to this enhancement, the value in the Applicants column on Manage Requisitions did not always reflect the same number of candidates in Manage Candidates. This was due to certain candidate types displaying on the Manage Applicants page but not on Manage Candidates.

With this enhancement, additional candidate types will now appear on Manage Candidates. This helps to ensure recruiters are able to access and manage these candidates for their requisitions. This should also reduce confusion created from having one number of candidates on the Manage Requisitions page and a different number on Manage Candidates.

The following additional candidate types will now appear on Manage Candidates:

  • Inactive internal candidates for whom the Eligible for Rehire field on the user record has not been defined. Note: Inactive internal candidates whose user records have been marked eligible for rehire already appear on Manage Candidates and will continue to appear. Inactive internal candidates who have been marked ineligible for rehire are currently excluded on Manage Candidates and will continue to be.
  • External successors, which are candidates created as external successors via Succession functionality. Note: This is referring to the option to add external successors on the Universal Profile > Snapshot > Succession page. See Snapshot - Succession - Add Successors.
  • Anyone who has not submitted an application or has not been suggested as a referral or manually added to a requisition.

Note: Archived candidates, who are visible on Manage Applicants, will continue to be excluded from Manage Candidates.

Upon implementation, this functionality is available for all portals using Recruiting.

The following existing permissions apply to this enhancement:

Requisition: Manage Grants ability to access and manage all requisitions regardless of ownership (constraints permitting). This permission also grants read-only access to the Applicant Review tab when creating or editing a job requisition. This permission can be constrained by OU, User's OU, and Grade. Recruiting
Requisition: Owner

Enables owner to access requisitions and applicants for requisitions for which they are an owner. This permission also grants read-only access to video interviews that are completed by applicants via HireVue. For portals with Referral Suite enabled, this permission also enables requisition owners to edit the referral source on the Applicant Profile page. This permission cannot be constrained.

Note: This is a dynamically assigned permission that is not available in Security Role Administration. If the user is removed as an owner, the permission is revoked for the associated requisition. This permission cannot be manually assigned. Also, if a user has both the permission necessary to manage requisitions and be a requisition owner, the constraints of the Requisition: Manage permission overrule those of the Requisition: Owner permission. For requisition owners that do not also have permission to manage requisitions, only certain fields are editable when editing a requisition.
