Prior to this enhancement, the LAUNCH.SESSION.LINK email tag, which allows registered learners to launch a virtual classroom session via email, was available in the ILT Session Register email, but it was NOT available to use in the Session Start Date email or in the Session Changed email.
With this enhancement, the LAUNCH.SESSION.LINK email tag is now available to use in the Session Start Date email and in the Session Changed email. When included in a Session Start Date email or in a Session Changed email sent to learners, any learners who receive the email can use the tag link to quickly launch the session.
The following considerations apply to this enhancement:
- The LAUNCH.SESSION.LINK email tag only functions for registered users of the session. This tag does NOT function for any of the other recipient types available for the Session Changed or Session Start Date emails.
- If your organization has SSO enabled, learners can use the LAUNCH.SESSION.LINK tag to launch the session without needing to sign into the system first. If SSO is not enabled, users will need to log into the system before they can launch the session.
- The LAUNCH.SESSION.LINK tag link works for all vILT integrations, including integrations that were built with the vILT Connector and integrations previously built using a different technology.
