Ability to Update Score After Submitting Roster
Prior to this enhancement, a session attendee's score could not be updated after submitting the roster unless the attendee's completion status was reverted (e.g., from Completed to Registered). Once the score was updated and the roster was resubmitted, the attendee's status would go back to Completed.
With this enhancement, the score can now be updated without needing to revert the completion. Users with the Attendance and Scoring tab of the roster for users who are in a Completed status without reverting the completion.

This enhancement is supported by another April '21 Release enhancement, which is the ability to submit the session roster before the end time. With this ability, instructors can submit the roster when the session ends, even if the end time is before the scheduled end time. Submitting the roster early helps to give attendees time to complete post-work while they are still in the session, such as completing a scored post-work test after the roster has been submitted. Use Case Prior to This Enhancement
- A session is configured with post-work that is a scored activity. The company wants learners to complete the post-work while they are still in the classroom.
- The session has ended and the roster can now be submitted, but the attendees still need to complete the post-work. The only way for attendees to get the post-work is for the instructor to submit the roster.
- The instructor enters the attendance for each attendee but leaves the field in the Score column blank.
- The instructor submits the roster, which releases the post-work. The status for each attendee is now Completed, and this status is visible on the attendees' transcript.
- The attendees complete the post-work.
- The instructor scores the post-work.
- In order to enter the score for each attendee who completed the post-work, the instructor clicks on the Attendance and Scoring tab of the roster for each attendee. Clicking changes the attendees' status from Completed to Registered. This change is reflected on the attendees' transcript and will not be updated until the roster is resubmitted.
- The instructor resubmits the roster. Once the updates to the roster are processed, the attendees' status goes back to Completed.
Use Case After This Enhancement and with Ability to Submit Session Roster Before End Time
- A session is configured with post-work that is a scored activity. The company wants learners to complete the post-work while they are still in the classroom.
- The session has ended three hours before the scheduled end time, but the attendees still need to complete the post-work. The only way for attendees to get the post-work is for the instructor to submit the roster. ILT Preferences is enabled to allow the session's roster to be submitted before the scheduled end time.
- The instructor enters the attendance for each attendee but leaves the field in the Score column blank.
- The instructor submits the roster, which releases the post-work.
- The attendees complete the post-work.
- The instructor scores the post-work.
- The instructor opens the Attendance and Scoring tab of the roster and sees that the field in the Score column is editable without needing to revert the completion status of the attendees.
- The instructor enters the score for each attendee.
- The instructor resubmits the roster.

This functionality is available for portals using Learning.
Permissions
The following existing permission applies to this functionality, and the permission description will be updated upon implementation of this enhancement to indicate that users with this permission can also update the score for users who are in a Completed status without reverting the completion:
