Reporting Fields - Skills Profile

A new Capabilities section is now available in Reporting 2.0, which includes new and existing fields.

March 19 Patch Availability

The following new Capabilities fields are added to Reporting 2.0, and they are available as of the March 19 patch:

  • Capability ID - This field displays the unique identifier associated with the capability. This field is in the Capabilities section. It is a text field.
  • Capability Type - This field displays the capability type (e.g., skill, competency, value). Currently, only skills are available. This field is in the Capabilities section. It is a text field.
  • Capability Name - This field displays the primary name that was specified for the capability. This field is in the Capabilities section. It is a text field.
  • Capability Description - This field displays the description of the capability. This is used to provide additional context about the capability. This field is in the Capabilities section. It is a text field.
  • Capability Status - This field displays the active status of the capability (e.g., Draft, Active, Inactive). This field is in the Capabilities section. It is a text field.
  • Capability Created By > User ID - This field displays the user ID of the user who created the capability. This field is in the Capabilities section. It is a numeric field.
  • Capability Created By > User Full Name - This field displays the full name of the user who created the capability. This field is in the Capabilities section. It is a text field.
  • Capability Modified By > User ID - This field displays the user ID of the user who most recently modified the capability. This field is in the Capabilities section. It is a numeric field.
  • Capability Modified By > User Full Name - This field displays the full name of the user who most recently modified the capability. This field is in the Capabilities section. It is a text field.
  • Created Date - This field displays the date and time at which the capability was initially created. This field is in the Capabilities section. It is a date field.
  • Modified Date - This field displays the date and time at which the capability was most recently modified. This field is in the Capabilities section. It is a date field.
  • Source - This field displays the original source of the capability (e.g., Cornerstone Skills Graph, Edge Import, Legacy Universal Profile Skills). to indicate where the capability was originally created. This field is in the Capabilities section. It is a text field.
  • External ID - This field indicates the unique identifier of the capability as designated by an external source. This field is in the Capabilities section. It is a text field.
  • User Capability Status - This field indicates the capability status with regards to the user (e.g., Declared, Suggested, Developing, Not Developing). This field is in the User Capabilities section. It is a text field.
  • User fields (Custom Fields, Details, OU Custom Fields, and User Identifier - Standard user fields are available for the user associated with the capabilities. These fields are available in the User Capabilities section in the Custom Fields, Details, OU Custom Fields, and User Identifier sections.

These fields can be used to answer the following skills related questions:

  • What are the suggested, declared, and developing skills of the users in this division?
  • Who are the users that have these declared skills?
  • What are the skills (every state) of this one person?

May 28 Patch Availability

The following new Capability Ratings fields are added to Reporting 2.0 with the May 28 patch:

  • Comment - This field displays the comment text provided by the rater when providing capability ratings. These comments may be visible on the My Rating Requests page or when viewing skill details on the Skills Profile. This field is in the Capability Ratings section. It is a text field.
  • Dimension - This field displays the dimension (e.g., Proficiency, Interest, Enjoyment) on which the rating was provided. The dimension is determined in the capability rating template by the administrator. The dimension is displayed when providing ratings. This field is in the Capability Ratings section. It is a text field.
  • Percentage of score on scale - This field displays the percentage representation of the rating score within the rating scale. The percentage that correlates with each rating is visible when configuring a rating scale. This field is in the Capability Ratings section. It is a numeric field.
  • Rater Relation - This field displays the employee relationship from the perspective of the rater to the person being rated. For example, if an employee's manager provides a rating, this field would display "Manager." This is visible when viewing the results of a rating request. This field is in the Capability Ratings section. It is a text field.
  • Rating Date - This field displays the date and time at which the rating was submitted. This is visible when viewing the results of a rating request. This field is in the Capability Ratings section. It is a date field.
  • Rating Description - This field displays the description of the numeric score value that was selected. This description for ratings within a rating scale is configured in the rating scale by the administrator. This field is in the Capability Ratings section. It is a text field.
  • Rating Label - This field displays the text display of the numeric score value that was selected. The label for ratings within a rating scale is configured in the rating scale by the administrator. This field is in the Capability Ratings section. It is a text field.
  • Rating Scale Item ID - This field displays the unique identifier for the rating scale item selected when rating the user. This value is automatically set by the system when a score value is added to a rating scale. This value is not visible within the system. This field is in the Capability Ratings section. It is a text field.
  • Rating Scale Max Score - This field displays the highest score value possible in the rating scale that was used to rate the user. The rating scale minimum and maximum are configured when creating or editing the rating scale. This field is in the Capability Ratings section. It is a numeric field.
  • Rating Scale Min Score - This field displays the lowest score value possible in the rating scale that was used to rate the user. The rating scale minimum and maximum are configured when creating or editing the rating scale. This field is in the Capability Ratings section. It is a numeric field.
  • Rating Scale Name - This field displays the name given to the rating scale by the administrator. Currently, administrators cannot configure rating scale names, but this will be available in a future release. This value is visible on the Manage Rating Scales page. This field is in the Capability Ratings section. It is a text field.
  • Rating Score - This field displays the numerical score associated with the rating selected from the rating scale. The rating score is visible when configuring the rating scale and when viewing rating requests. This field is in the Capability Ratings section. It is a numeric field.
  • Rating Template ID - This field displays the unique identifier for the request or system-defined rating template used to rate the user. This value is automatically set by the system when a rating scale template is created. This value is not visible within the system. This field is in the Capability Ratings section. It is a text field.
  • Rating Template Name - This field displays the name given to the rating scale template by the administrator. This value is visible on the Manage Rating Templates page. This field is in the Capability Ratings section. It is a text field.
  • Request Name - This field displays the name given to the request by the requester for their reference. This value is set by the requester when they create a capability rating request. This value is visible on the My Rating Requests page. This field is in the Capability Ratings section. It is a text field.
  • Visibility - This field displays the relationships, organizational units, or users who are permitted to view the rating in the system. The visibility is set by the requester when the rating request is created. This field is in the Capability Ratings section. It is a text field.
  • Rater fields (Custom Fields, Details, OU Custom Fields, and User Identifier - Standard user fields are available for the user who provided the rating. These fields are in the Capability Ratings > Rater section.
  • Requester fields (Custom Fields, Details, OU Custom Fields, and User Identifier - Standard user fields are available for the user who requested the rating. These fields are in the Capability Ratings > Requester section.
  • Target User fields (Custom Fields, Details, OU Custom Fields, and User Identifier - Standard user fields are available for the user who was rated. These fields are in the Capability Ratings > Target User section.

These fields can be used to answer the following skills related questions:

  • What is the inventory of proficiency for a given skill in my organization?
  • What are all of the ratings for a person or group of people on specific skills?
  • Who are all of the employees with a certain proficiency rating in a skill?

Implementation

The first section of fields is available as of the March 19 patch. The second section of fields is available as of the May 28 patch.

By default, these features are OFF and can be enabled in the Feature Enablement Dashboard under Reporting 2.0:

  • Reporting - Core - User Capabilities - Manage
  • Reporting - Core - User Capabilities - View
  • Reporting - Core - Capability Ratings - Manage
  • Reporting - Core - Capability Ratings - View
