Total Compensation with Employee Compensation and Compensation Types

Prior to this enhancement, organizations tracked employee's compensation payments in many different systems, so keeping track of all the different systems where employee compensation exists is time consuming. Additionally, salary and bonus information is stored separately from other Compensation Types.

With the new Total Compensation feature:

  • Administrators can easily create new Compensation Types for all types of employee compensation on the new Compensation Types page.
  • Organizations can view full compensation details for an employee on the Employee Compensation page.
  • Edge Import Compensation Feed imports employee compensation records to the Employee Compensation page.

Updated Compensation Types page

To access the Compensation Types page, go to Admin > Tools > Compensation Management > Compensation Types.

Administrators with appropriate permissions can view, create, edit, delete, and activate/deactivate employee compensation types.

Employee Compensation page

To access the Employee Compensation page, go to Admin > Compensation Management> Employee SALARIES.

Users with appropriate permissions can now view all compensation details on one page.

Edge Import

To access the Edge Import Homepage, go to ADMIN > TOOLS > EDGE > IMPORTS AND FEEDS.

Edge Import has a new configuration template, configuration setup, and load/feed for Employee Compensation.

 

How Does this Enhancement Benefit My Organization?

Customers can now use the Employee Compensation page to see the total amount of monetary value the organization is providing each person. Clients can also manually create and edit employee compensation records directly in Employee Compensation.

Implementation

  • Customers currently migrated to Employee Compensation automatically have access to Employee Compensation and Compensation Types.
  • After GTS feed/load clients migrate and DLW feed/load clients migrate to Edge Import, Cornerstone can migrate to Employee Compensation with Compensation Types.

  • DLW clients must migrate their DLW feed/load to Edge Import using the to Edge Import Wizard or by setting up a new Edge Import feed via the Configuration Wizard. The Configuration Wizard matches the client's columns from their file to our Employee Compensation fields in Edge Import.

Permissions

The following new permissions apply to this functionality:

Compensation Type - View

Grants view-only access to the Compensation Types page. This permission is only granted to administrators who also have Employee Salary Management permission. This is an administrator permission.

 Compensation - Administration
Compensation Type - Edit Grants access to the Compensation Types page to create, edit, inactivate, and delete Compensation Types. This permission is only granted to administrators who have Employee Salary Management – Edit permission. This is an administrator permission. Compensation - Administration
